During his tenure, Maharashtra was at the highest position in terms of FDI and private investments. The state attracted investments to the tune of 15 lakh crores during the Make In India week. It also topped in the conversion of investment pledged. His tenure also witnessed an improvement in the state’s ranking in Ease of Doing Business.

Following are the highlights of his tenure:

  • Pioneered Start-Up policy with institutional and intellectual support to budding entrepreneurs, aiming to convert job seekers into job creators. Also, under Devendra Fadnavis Maharashtra became the 1st State to make uses of Aerospace, Defence manufacturing policy and FinTech policy for more job creation.
  • Steps were taken to initiate Skill Development Centres in all districts of the state to train the youth.
  • Over 6000 CCTV cameras installed in Mumbai only, to make it safer and aid policing.
  • Rate of conviction went up from 9% to 52% and cyber labs were set up in all districts of the state.

  • 1052 police stations made online in the state.
  • Passed the Right to Services bill and brought 369 services online.
  • Clearance to 150 km. Metro line expansion project in Mumbai metropolitan region to decongest the entire zone.
  • State housing policy announced to enable affordable housing for all and to set the state’s derailed housing process in motion.
  • Initiated the process to set up an international airport at Navi Mumbai. Project to set up 10 airports in the state in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities initiated to ensure better connectivity.
  • Funds to set up the Mumbai-Delhi industrial corridor allocated.
  • 712 km Mumbai-Nagpur super expressway which will connect 24 districts of the state and take the development to all these districts.
  • Closed 11 toll nakas in the state. Discounts extended to light motor vehicles on 52 toll nakas.
  • Jalyukt Shivaar, the state’s flagship program initiated irrigation works in more than 10,000 villages across the state. Over 500 crores were raised through the common man for this scheme and over 11 Iakhs hectares of and was brought under irrigation by spending only 3744 crores.
  • Increase in agricultural output. 2750 megawatts of power added and load shedding ended.
  • Improvements in the standards of the schools, higher educations, technical and medical educations.
  • Quality facilities extended to minorities and adivasis to uplift the community.
  • 10 SMART Cities sanctioned in the state.
  • The projects such as Chhatrapati Shivaji sea memorial and Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial at Indu Mill were cleared. State Tourism policy declared to ensure the state becomes tourist friendly and to focus on infrastructure at tourist spots.
